Free courses for elderly people: we teach how to use a smartphone and the eGov portal in Karaganda.
Who this project helps
Location: Karaganda, Kazakhstan
Problem
Many elderly residents of Karaganda face difficulties using modern digital services: they do not know how to use a smartphone, cannot book a doctor's appointment through the eGov portal, pay utility bills online, or video call relatives. This limits their access to important government services and social life.
Solution
Organization of free in-person digital literacy courses for elderly people. Training takes place in small groups with experienced volunteers. Participants learn basic smartphone skills, how to use the eGov portal, book doctor appointments, pay bills, and communicate via messengers. The courses are adapted to each participant's level.
