Air Monitoring in Atyrau
Residents of Atyrau receive real-time air quality data via a Telegram channel. Data is collected by volunteers using sensors.
Who this project helps
Location: Atyrau
Problem
Atyrau lacks a real-time air quality monitoring system accessible to residents. This creates uncertainty and health risks, especially during periods of industrial emissions and adverse weather conditions.
Solution
Create a network of volunteers who install air pollution sensors (PM2.5, PM10, etc.) in different districts of the city. Data is automatically published on a Telegram channel, where every resident can check pollution levels in real time.
How to Participate
Financial support can be enabled later manually in the project editor.
Become a Volunteer Observer
Install an air sensor at home or in the office, monitor its operation, and help with calibration. All data will be automatically transmitted to the common channel.

Recruit Volunteers
Recruit the first 10 volunteers ready to install sensors and participate in the pilot launch.
Purchase and Configure Sensors
Purchase 10 PM2.5/PM10 sensors, calibrate them, and set up data transmission to Telegram.
Launch Telegram Channel
Create and launch a public Telegram channel with regular air quality reports (every hour).
Expand the Network
Increase the number of sensors to 30, cover all districts of Atyrau, and attract new volunteers.
